(I am an old programmer but a total noob to WP. See my profile for details.)

I am using a child of the Web-Developer theme on my local dev system. The header (header.php) seems to be picking up the child classes and displaying correctly, but the main content (page.php, et. al.) appears to be ignoring them. I’m assuming this is an enqueueing issue but can’t seem to figure out the right way to address it. I’ve tried “both” enqueueing methods mentioned on https://developer.www.ads-software.com/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/, but to no avail.
    Any suggestions are welcome.

A clue…I realized that I added the classes in the header directly into header.php, while I am using the WP page editor and for the main body.

Never mind. CSS classes are working; I realized I was trying to override the header elements, which WP doesn’t appear to like, at least not the way I was trying to do so.

    PEBCAK.
