    Dear WPSSO Team,

I’m wondering if you can help with my query. I run a website where the majority of content is user-generated content (similar to Quora, but not in a question-answer format). We review the content that is posted and ensure it is high quality, so we’re keen to have this content rank highly on Google.

The problem is we’re not too sure what schema is appropriate. The user-generated content aren’t articles or blog posts, but rather long-form comments. These long-form comments are response to a statement. So the closest comparison I can think of is like Reddit’s posts, and Quora’s answers. I’m going to install the WPSSO Schema JSON-LD Markup plugin, but any recommendation on the appropriate schema to choose would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

You mention ranking highly on Google, so I would suggest you pick from one of the support Schema types:

    https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/structured-data/article

If your post title is a question and the post content is an answer to that question, then you may want to select the “question” type in the Document SSO metabox. If your questions and answers are related to a single product / subject, then you may consider using the WPSSO FAQ add-on to manage your questions and answers using a custom post type and taxonomy.

Note that unless you’re using a plugin to add an up-voting feature for WordPress comments, I would avoid the QAPage type. And if you are using a plugin, let me know which one, as I am not aware of any customers using one at the moment. ??
