Hi! Today I’ve decided to delete unused files from my /uploads folder, and noticed there ‘wordpress-popular-posts’ folder. As I understand, there are thumbnails for popular posts. So there were lots of images, and I deleted them all in hope to see only needed images recreated. And they did. However, I have only 75×75 image size used for WPP thumbnails, but as I see, the plugin generates each image 5 times, and adds to their names: 1.5x, 2.5x, 2x and 3x.

Just wanted to ask: why is this happening, and how to generate only 1 image, if it’s possible?

Thanks in advance for an answer!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @giorgos93,

These images are generated by the plugin to provide retina display support.

If you don’t need this functionality there’s a filter hook available that you can use to disable it. Check the link for more details.

P.S.: If you’re using a caching plugin make sure to clear its cache afterwards so changes are applied to your website immediately.
