• Hello,

I want to update the plugin from version V1.11.6 to V1.13.1 ..

I have checked the GA3 documentation to see if there are any changes to be made. Indeed, there are changes to be made.

    Link: https://gtm4wp.com/how-to-articles/how-to-setup-enhanced-ecommerce-tracking

1 only thing that I did not understand is step 4:
    – Uncheck the “Use Data Layer” checkbox
    – Set “Enable Enhanced Ecommerce Features” to false
    – If you haven’t overridden any other settings in the “More Settings“ section, please uncheck the “Enable overriding settings in this tag” checkbox
    – Save the changes in your Google Analytics Page View tag

Question: Why do I have to deactivate everything in the “” GA – Pageview – All pages ” ” tag?

Will this disabling of these options in step 4 not affect the reporting of figures on GA / G. ADS?

    Thank you in advance

    Hi,

In the updated version of GTM4WP all ecommerce events are decoupled from the pageview tag. That has some advantages:
    – if there are many products to report on a category page, you do not risk the pageview itself of being tracked (a GA hit that has a size of over 8kB will be discarded)
    – GA4 event tracking can be managed more easily

In prior versions of GTM4WP I was trying to give users the opportunity to consume less hits per month by incorporating some ecommerce data into the pageview hit. As things evolved at Google in the past years, it is not better to have all ecommerce data to fire in their own GA event tags.
