  • Hi.

Can you send a screenshot from this part of your project settings?

If you’re using a leading slash in the URL Format Template field – remove it and save the project.
Also, make sure that in a source file you haven’t leading spaces before values in cells.
p.s: Do you have the latest version of MPG (2.8.12)?

    Regards.

    Oleksandr,

My apologies for the delayed reply. www.ads-software.com did not notify me of your response.

Here is the screenshot of the project’s URL generation settings, as well as the plugin version.

Could you please elaborate on the following?

If you’re using a leading slash in the URL Format Template field – remove it and save the project.

Also, make sure that in a source file you haven’t leading spaces before values in cells.

Thank you for your assistance. Additionally, should I update the plugin to 3.0.2? I also generated a sitemap. Do you have a tutorial on how to integrate it with Yoast SEO and how to have the pages be indexed by Google?

    Hello @start2finishapp ,

Thank you for your reply and apologies for the delayed response!

It seems like you do not have a forward slash in the URL Format Template field based on the screenshot you shared. The paragraph regarding the leading spaces refers to an actual ” ” character that is positioned before the content in the cell. To make sure there are no leading spaces please click on the cell and try to delete anything that is before the value written in that cell.

Also, it would be a good idea to update to the latest version of the plugin. Please do a backup of your website before committing to any changes.

MPG requires its own sitemap to be generated since the generated pages aren’t your typical WordPress entities. Here is our tutorial on how to generate a Sitemap for MPG. From what I know, Yoast SEO has the possibility of adding external sitemaps to it and you can use this guide on how to do it.

Thank you and have an amazing day!

    Mat,
Thank you for the response. I went ahead and updated the plugin and double-checked my Google Sheets document and there are no leading “spaces” or ‘ ‘ in the content. The issue is still there. Do you have any ideas on how I can fix this? Should I reinstall the plugin or create a new project? Will that fix it? I look forward to your response. Thanks!

    Hello @start2finishapp,

    Thank you for your reply!

I have tried replicating your issue on a test environment but unfortunately I couldn’t thus it makes me think it has something to do with your specific environment or data.

Could you try and create another project from scratch using the same data and see if the issue persists?

Thank you and please let us know how it went!

    Hi Mat,

I went ahead and updated the plugin, and I’m still having the same issue. I have my WordPress site hosted on GCP and it was set up with the basic Bitnami launch conditions. Could it be a conflicting plugin or a specific WordPress setting? Or maybe there’s something about how Bitnami sets up a WP site that could be causing the issue?

    Google Sheets: Google Sheet Template

Our company will be attending an event at the beginning of November – after that, I can turn off all of the non-theme plugins and see if it works with just MPG and Visual Composer enabled.

If you have any other ideas or need me to send you any type of diagnostic information from our site, please let me know.

    Thanks for everything!

    Hi, guys.

It’s probably, catched but not fully resolved bug that I’ve met before.

It manifests itself under certain conditions, but I do not know how to reproduce it.

Earlier, I fixed this by debugging on the dev or staging version of the client’s site. This is probably due to the unusual settings of Apache or nginx, since less than 1% of users have such a bug.

p.s: From my practice, no one plugin installed on WordPress couldn’t trigger this behavior, the problem is low-level, so it should be fixed in two ways:
    1. On user’s web server
    2. Additional checks in MPG code and releasing new version of MPG (preferred way, as for me)

    Regards.

    Hello @start2finishapp ,

Thank you for your reply and apologies for the delayed response!

Would you mind submitting this support form that will help us in better understanding the environment conditions as to try and replicate the issue?

In case we find an issue with the plugin, we’ll make sure to correct it in future versions.

Thank you for understanding and we’ll await your answer!
