    Hi

I purge the cache, then if I understand well, the website is preloaded automatically depending on the rule I’ve chosen for the automatic preload. After it preloads, it is always displaying an old version of the pages (or some pages) in the menu. My logged-in version of the website is updated, but when I test in incognito mode, it is always displaying the old pages after a preload.

The last time I used manual preload after I purged the cache. Seemed to work well, but now my home page is again the old version. I am losing hope, I don’t know how to fix this problem. Can you help?

    Hi,
Please note that purging cache takes a few seconds to happen. So, when you click purge cache, it sends the purge request to CF via API. At that time, if you also preload the page, it will start showing the old version of the page.

This is a common issue when CF API takes a little longer to purge cache. I don’t think you need to preload pages automatically as that will increase server load as well.

As Cloudflare has now released their Tiered Cache for Free to everyone, you can either do manual ppreload or don’t preload at all.

Thanks. I actually disabled the automatic preload and I will do a manual or CRON initiated preload from now on. It worked this time. Now I see the last version of my website everywhere.

    Have a nice day.
