• First of all, the plugin works great, is slim, clear and absolutely functional. We have the problem of having many administrators with different areas of responsibility. This leads to moderation requests being sent to all admins, even those who have completely different responsibilities.

We would like to limit this to a smaller group of administrators, so that we don’t always have to uselessly flush out all the admins in this matter or flood their mail accounts.

Have we possibly overlooked a setting, if not, could a setting field be created to make such a limitation? Thank you very much for an answer in advance.

Give the code over at https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/admin-email-notifications-3/page/2/#post-14404974 a whirl to see if it makes sense and hopefully works. Feel free to ask any questions you have about it as well.

Sorry, it didn’t work for me. Took the code and placed it (hopefully correct) in the child-themes php and replaced the sample mail addresses with real users and the site-admin-mail address. Then the site said goodbye. I must confess, I’m not a pro at PHP either, more rudimentary.

So far, a good dozen admins are still startled when there are new members to moderate.

Wouldn’t it make sense to use the page admin mail as the default on the plugin’s settings page and, alternatively, to provide a field in which you can optionally enter several recipients, separated by commas? I think it would significantly improve this wonderful and useful tool.

Extremely sorry, I just saw this reply now.

Yes but no at the same time regarding using the “admin email” field. Logically it makes sense that it’d be a good one to use, but at the same time I know that it’s not guaranteed to be a valid working email. Some people just enter “[email protected]” and variants of that where the emails go to nowhere. Because of that, it’s not guaranteed to work.

Regarding the UI part, I believe I have that started over at https://github.com/WebDevStudios/BuddyPress-Registration-Options/issues/194 but haven’t pushed it out all the way to be part of an actual release yet. I’m going to bump it up to an intended 4.5.0 release.

    Dear Michael,

Yes, the idea with the list of available admins and subsequent selection by checkbox is perfect. This solves our problem 100 percent and at the same time ensures that only valid mail addresses appear in the list.

Do you already have a timetable for when version 4.5.0 could be available? I think we can close this request with that.

Thank you very much for this extremely useful plugin and many greetings from Germany.
