Shortcodes for “Instant Notifications”

  • Hi,
    i was wondering if there are more shortcodes available to use in the plugin “Instant Notifications”:

    Just these three are available on their page:
    {food_store_service_type}, {food_store_service_date}, {food_store_service_time},

    Because I need a printing on a POS printer I can’t use the WC invoice form.
    But I need the shortcodes for the add ons (extras) of the order and also the shortcode for the notes of the client in the item order.

    Hope you understand what I mean…

    Hello,

    Food store does not any shortcodes like mentioned above. I repeat, these shortcodes are not from our plugin. It needs to be done by custom work in order to work with invoicing plugins.

    All the info is saved as order meta, so if you are into development, you can prepare the code from it or contact us at https://support.wpscripts.in for custom work.

    Hi,

    have to come back with this.
    I’ve contacted the developer of “Instant Notifications” and we tried a lot to fix the problem. (Btw, he was very helpful!)

    He was able to see the order add ons i am not :-/
    At the end he wrote me this:

    `I suspect that the plugin Food Store is not fully compatible with the latest versions of woocommerce and wordpress, though I was testing on the latest.

    I found out that if I edited a product several times initially all was sent properly, but after several product revisions the add-ons were not showing properly even in the new order emails.

    In addition to that when a new order is placed initially you get a new order email with the add-ons , but if you resend order emails manually the add-ons disappear from the new order emails. So there is something with that plugin , not relevant to your config.`

    Maybe you can have a look also if there is a bug in your plugin!

    Hello,

    Your starting thread regarding the Food Store shortcodes makes sense now. So, the Instant notification plugin developer has already created 3 shortcodes to display service-related info.

    In that case, you can also use those shortcodes for the POS printer as long as you have the notification plugin activated.

    We are going to update the addons formatting as they have displayed in the video, that’s surely a much-needed UI enhancement for the emails. But I did;t get the part where he says “Editing the product several times didn’t send the addons properly”.

    Also, let me know what kind of button you referred to in the last comment. Waiting for your response.

    thank you for the quick response!

    The button i meant just for the UI enhancement if you need to make it as an option. If not, there is no need for the button…

    The three shortcodes from Instant Notification are working fine.
    The problem are the add ons normaly to see in the “woocommerce_email_order_meta”.
    I don’t see them when i print the receipt.

    I will ask the developer of Instant Notification to enter this conversation because i think he is more able to tell the problem much proper than me ??

    I am one of the developers of woo instant notifications.

    I have some observations regarding the plugin. Food Store ( not related to woo instant notifications in any way)

    *I have used our own machine running latest wordpress and woocommerce clean install

    1. When we try to manually resend the “New order” email from woocommerce, the order email is sent but the add-ons are not present in the email

    2. When we have set a WP timezones to Sofia and set the Food Store shop working hours from 9pm to 7am , it didn’t allow us to place a test order , complaining that the store is closed

    3. Sometimes the add-ons / metadata appear right next to product name and not under the product with “-”

    The above observations were tested without woo instant notifications installed on the system in order to troubleshoot Ralf’s issues and identify what the problem is.

    Thank you for the set of points. out of those, point 2 where you were trying time between 2 days is not possible. Opening time must be less than close time and both should belong to one date.

    Other 2 points we are going to test and update with the next version.

    maybe there is also a solution to get the receipts a little bit more readable.
