Page builder tab disappeared

    Hi all,

    Some time over the last few days the Page Builder tab has gone missing. WordPress version is 5.8.1-en_AU and all plugins are up to date including PageBuilder (2.14.2). I have installed Classic Editor (1.6.2). My theme is TwentySixteen 2.5.

    In the past I have seen this problem addressed by deactivating all plug-ins except PageBuilder and trying again which I have done but to no avail. At no stage could I get the Page Builder tab back in the editor window.

    Suggestions ?

    Thanks for reaching out.

    It’s unusual that you weren’t able to find a working baseline with all non-SiteOrigin plugins deactivated.

    Are there perhaps any console errors present in red text when you edit a Page Builder page?

    Ta muchly for the reply.

    Script debug revealed nothing.

    My last attempt at getting to the bottom of this has been to deactivate all plugins, one at a time, that have been updated in the last week.

    I can’t remember when WordPress itself was updated but in its root directory “readme.html” and “licence.txt” have a date of 10 Oct 2021.

    I’m starting to suspect that a recent WordPress update may be the culprit here. If so that’s one of the dangers of allowing auto updates.

    Hi Mark

    If you could please, try seeking a working baseline, that would be most appreciated. Temporarily deactivate all plugins not authored by SiteOrigin. In that state, does the issue resolve? If not, also temporarily switch to a default theme like Twenty Nineteen. In that state, does the issue resolve?

    Hi Mark

    We’re going to release a hotfix release for Page Builder in a few mins. It might be worth waiting for that release before testing further.
