Also please add a setting that if a user is unfeatured then the verification badge should also be removed.

    Thanks

    Hi @teeboy4real,

This is a very specific use case and we’re not sure if other users will be interested in this feature.

Nevertheless, we’re curious to read what others will think of your idea. We will implement this feature if other community members upvote your request.

We’ll keep you informed. Thank you very much for contributing to Verified Member for BuddyPress!

    Best regards,

@webby87 Could be more specific please? What is the span class issue that need solving and is blocking the launch of your website?

Is this an integration issue between both plugins?

    Thank you.

    Hi themosaurus.

You’ll have to ask that to one of your support members as they also replicated the issue on your demo site ( Jason )

    Many thanks

    Hi @webby87,

We’re sorry to inform you that we’ve not fix to provide for this specific widget at the moment. The HTML markups for the Verified badge are appended to the username and in this context, BuddyPress is printing the username inside the “title” HTML attribute without escaping the HTML appended by third party plugins.

We should fix this in the coming release but we cannot disclose any date as we have a lot to work on.

In the meantime, we advise that you remove the badge from BP widgets. To do so, simply go to Settings > BuddyPress > Verified Member > Widgets Settings and uncheck the “Display Verified Badge in BuddyPress Widgets”.

This will solve your issue and allow you to launch your site.

    Thank you.

thanks for the response, unfortunately that didnt fix it, still displaying error, i tried to delete ToolTip to see if that would work also, but nothing.

Hopefully soon i wont be needing those widgets so should be fine just to wait for an update.

    Thanks for your help

    Hi @webby87 ,

We have just released a new update of Verified Members for BuddyPress (v 1.2.3). Updating this plugin to the latest version should fix this issue with HTML markups breaking you widgets.

After the update, the problem should now be fixed. However, you might still be seeing the issue because your browser cache is showing you an older version of the page (browsers do that to load pages faster). To see that the issue is resolved you will need to empty your browser cache and reload the page. If you want to read more on what browser cache is and how to clear it, here is an article that might help you: How to Clear Internet Cache in Every Major Browser.

    Kindest regards,

Works perfectly! thank you so much for the update ??
