The password doesn’t convert to md5 when reset the password
-
Hi,
I’m using your plugin on the multisite to fix the “Lost Password” redirect issue which didn’t allow the user to reset the password from multisite subdomain. It works perfectly but right now I noticed the strange bug with the password not converting to md5 in the database if I try to reset it from profile page from the frontend.
The problem is that the user after changing the password just redirected to the home page and doesn’t have the ability to log back using the new or old password. After log in into MySQL database I found my account with the following issue:
prnt.sc/1tg73id so looks like the password was not converted to MD5. After changing it manually to MD5 I was able to log in using the new password.
BTW the “Restore Password” page works fine.
For more details about the issue please take a look on this video: watch.screencastify.com/v/NbjPcEGxYpSmVuZnMeOd
P.S. I have tried to ask the theme developers about the issue and here is their answer:
We have checked and investigated your "User can't change the password from profile page", we found that after disabled "Change wp-admin login" plugin, we are able to update and change user password. For your reference, you can see given below screenshot: https://ibb.co/mSNszfT So "Change wp-admin login" plugin is conflicting with Buddyboss change/update password functionality and which is not a Buddyboss integration list. https://www.buddyboss.com/integrations/ For this you will need to contact with their Plugin Author support team.
I use this theme: https://www.buddyboss.com/ called BuddyBoss
Can you please advice?
