Bulk attach unattached images in Media Library

    FYI and by accident I found a way to manually but bulk attach images in the media library (works in WP 5.8.1). Here are the steps.

    1. Find in the media library the media files that are not attached but do belong to one content item (page, post etc).
    2. Select them in the first column of the media table when they are still marked as unattached.
    3. Click the attach link in one of these selected files
    4. Use the search option to find the content item where these media files are used
    5. Select its line in the search results so that it is marked
    6. Click the select button.
    7. Now all the previously selected media should be attached to the chosen content

    It seems to work the time I discovered it but I doubt that this is intended use. I think it would better when “Attach” be one of the Bulk options
