    Hello!

I have a question about jQuery Migrate.

    Theme: Neve (free version)
    Starter site: Blogger
    Wordpress: 5.8.1.
    Website builder: Elementor

In the html source code of my site, I see that jQuery Migrate v3.3.2 is connected by the following line of code (in the example below, I replaced my website address with “example.com”):

    <script src='https://example.com/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery-migrate.min.js' id='jquery-migrate-js'></script>

The question is, is jQuery Migrate used for theme functions and if I disable it, will it negatively affect the functionality of the site?

Thank you for your attention and have a nice day!

    Hello @sergeybaev ,

Thank you for using Neve and for reaching out!

The jQuery Migrate library has become a default of WP installations since WP 3.6 to make sure that plugins/themes that run older jQuery can still function on up-to-date instances.

Usually, disabling it should not affect your environment as long as you are using up-to-date plugins and themes, however, I would advise creating a backup of your website before committing to any changes to protect yourself in case something goes wrong.

Thank you and have an amazing day!
