WP Super Cache disabled when updated?

One of my clients hadn’t updated their plugins in a number of months. I just updated all of their plugins and I notice that Super Cache is disabled. I don’t recall if it was disabled before, so I’m nervous to turn it on for their large, active website if it was off before.

Is it possible that the plugin added some options with a recent version, or for some other reason, disabled itself on update? It’s activated in WordPress, but deactivated on the Super Cache settings screen.
