I’m having trouble mapping a subdomain to replace a subsite of a multisite directory network.

I create the subdomain as usual, and a folder is created in cpanel.

I think the problem is that when I want to enter it shows me an empty site, I understand that it is taking me to the empty folder that was created when the subdomain was created.

I want to use the subdomain, to replace the subdirectory of the subsite of the multisite network.

Should the subdomain folder that is empty be relocated?

    What solution should be done?

    Thanks

  • Have you followed all of the instructions in the codex for switching network types? See below

    Hello,

I did all the steps correctly, and I have created several subsites. I have a multisite network that uses the subdirectory format. (the network created it already 1 month ago)

The subdomain that you create was from a domain that I have. the subdomain created it 2 days ago, and I tried to do the mapping with this subdomain but it didn’t work for me.

This subdomain works with SSL, which is provided by the hosting.

I have never pointed to a DNS when creating a subdomain as I have always created a wordpress website and installed it on the subdomain.

This subdomain is from a Domain that has already been configured as an additional domain in my hosting panel.
