    Hi,

Since I installed this plugin, nobody can’t comment my posts anymore ??
Visitors can complete all the fields, but the button “Post my comment” is not active, even if they accept the storage of their datas.

I’m looking for a solution since DAYS and i can’t find where the issue is.

    (please excuse my bad english).

Does anyone have an idea ?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I found a lead: in the management of my WP comments, a new column appeared: "GDRP consent". By default, all my past comments are marked "not accepted". How to switch them to "accepted" (and if possible, not one by one manually ;-)

This does not solve my initial problem which is that no one can comment on my blog anymore which is problematic.

Thanks a lot for your help !

    @lalutotale

The plugin does not disable the post comment button when the integration checkbox has not been accepted. We only check the status of the checkbox after the form has been submitted.

Also, any previously posted comments are shown as long as those are approved by a moderator. The GDPR accepted status is not used to determine whether a comment should be displayed.

This sounds like an issue with a plugin or theme you have installed.
Could you provide a list of all installed and active plugins and themes? + general version info such as WordPress core and PHP?

Hi and thank you for your response.
I deactivated the plugin and the “post a comment” button works normally again.
There may be an incompatibility with another of my plugins called “GDPR Cookie Consent” (which is active).

However, I find that “GRPD Cookie Consent” is much less complete than “Free WP- Cookie Information”.
I would like to be sure that by uninstalling GRPD Cookie Consent and re-activating “Cookie Information”, I will not crash my site. (I’m not a developer so I’m afraid I won’t be able to solve such a problem)

@lalutotale Always make a backup before updating or turning plugins on/off just to be sure. A lot of hosting companies also provide temporary staging environments for this purpose.

Turning on Free WP GDPR Consent Plugin shouldn’t cause issues by itself but a conflict with other plugins or a theme is always a possibility.

The Consent Plugin doesn’t affect the “post a comment” button.

@lalutotale I’m having the exact same issue, how was it resolved??

@tylerstannard I disabled the plugin Free GDPR Consent Solution. It seems that there was a conflict between it and the plugn Free WP Cookie Information.

When I tried to disable Free WP and re-activate Free GDPR Consent Solution, there was a fatal error with this plugin. So I could never activate Free GDPR Consent Solution (which is a shame because I would much prefer this plugin which was very complete).

Not having found any assistance to fix the problem, so I gave up Free GDPR Consent Solution ??
