    I appreciate the effort, but the more I use the Block Editor, the more I dislike it. Given that the Block Editor is the default, at least keep the Classic Editor as an optional plugin.

    The fork to ClassicPress should be a hard clue that some people prefer this.

  • I agree. The Classic editor should be available and supported for the life of WordPress. There are demographics of users out there who will never be able to design well with the flexibility of a block editor, and who benefit from having a web editor that is so similar to Microsoft Word.
