    Hey Yoast SEO Team,

We’d like to use custom format inside “Search Appearance > RSS > RSS feed settings”. Basically, we want to use this line “Published with permission from XYZ. Source.” and link the “Source” word with the post link. In another word, this variable %%POSTLINK%% with different anchor text.

Please advise, We couldn’t find any information on the forum and internet-wide.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello Ibrahim,

Thanks for reaching out regarding your RSS feeds.

Currently, these are the available variables to use – %%AUTHORLINK%%, %%POSTLINK%%, %%BLOGLINK%% and %%BLOGDESCLINK%%. However, you may be able to create your own. You should find this guide helpful – https://yoast.com/help/list-available-snippet-variables-yoast-seo/#creating-custom

I’m still working on this and the issue is not resolved yet.
I’ve tried to create a custom variable but didn’t work out.
Trying alternative solutions out of Yoast SEO capacity.
I was expecting a support from Yoast to get it done very easily and efficiently.

I’ll share my experience here as soon as I find a solution for this,

    Hi,

We tested it out and it looks like custom field snippet variables aren’t outputting in the template for the RSS feed, and the only available option are the 4 mentioned here – https://yoast.com/help/how-to-use-rss-variables-in-yoast-seo/

We’d like to refer you to the developer documentation we have here regarding modifying the default outputs of the Yoast SEO plugin – https://developer.yoast.com/

Sorry we couldn’t be of more help here. We’ll be keeping this forum thread open for a few days, and see if any other users would like to provide suggestions or ideas on this.
