• Assalamu Alaikkum Mustafiz,

Once again, we, (myself and members of our masjid) would like to say that “you have done great work and really appreciate your dedication”. May Allah (SWT) accept all your hard work to support the Ummah.

A few very good Features are introduced recently and my observations are as follows:

      1. Scrolling Text

User defined ‘scrolling text’ and ‘automatic Iqamah change announcement’ for the next-day are being displayed at the same time.
(Note: earlier Iqamah change announcement supersedes the user defined scroll text).
    <<This feature is working fine.>>
I had requested this feature, longtime back. Alhamdhulillah.

      2. Dimming of Prayer time, Adhan and Iqamah

Dimming of ‘Adhan’ and ‘Iqamah/prayer’ time get elapsed.
Very few times, dimming of ‘Adhan’ and ‘Iqamah/prayer’ are NOT happening after time elapsed/passed; we need to refresh or restart manually.
<<Please verify, when you have time.>>

      3. Highlighting next prayer time

Highlighting the upcoming/next prayer time with coloured background.
It works for all 5 time prayers, except Jumah.
Being Jumah today, I have taken a Screenshot shot of Digital Screen. I you need for your reference, I will send it to your e-mail, in-sha-Allah.
    <<Your attention is required.>>

      4. Overnight_dim

    Overnight_dim is a good feature.
But, now 20 minutes after Isha Iqamah time, the screen starts dimming and it goes on until Fajr.
You may schedule the screen dimming function to start activation approximately =>1 hour after Isha Iqamah and deactivation 30 minutes before Fajr Adhan.
Meanwhile, I have noticed a change log on 2021.10.29, about disable_overnight_dim.
However, still the feature is active in version 2021.10.29.
<<If overnight_dim is not required, Please inform us, as how the disable/deactivate this feature. >>

    jazakallahu khairan kasira.

    Assalamualaikum my dear brother Nazir,

Jazakallahu khiar for your time and really thoughtful message.

    – I have seen the need for refreshing the browser in some other masjid as well, and some of them using this https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/easy-auto-refresh/aabcgdmkeabbnleenpncegpcngjpnjkc?hl=en

please install this extension and put 1800, which is 30 mins and should refresh it for you.

    – You are correct, it does not highlight jummah since jummah is not a time field, its a text field and diff masjid right their jummah time differently when they have multiple. But I will think of a way to highlight it, good point.

    – I am trying avoid adding too many control in the admin, therefore started dimming after 20 mins. I can make it 30 mins after Isha till 30 mins before Fajr etc … let me know why/what can be sensible duration.

    – I forgot to update the help section regarding disable_overnight_dim, some masjid wanted to run the screen all night with full light, therefore added it. I will update the help section but basically add the shortcode with true and will not dim overnight.

May Allah swt accept it from us and keep us united on day of Judgement under the Throne.

    Mustafiz.

    Dear brother Mustafiz,
Thank you for your quick response with solutions.

    2. Dimming of Prayer time, Adhan and Iqamah:
As suggested by you, I have installed the extension with proposed setting 1800 – 30 minutes. I will monitor and update you, in-sha-Allah.

    4. Overnight_dim:
Most of members and administrators will be back from work in the enening and hence mashura’s at masjid are planned after Isha. That was the reason why I asked for overnight_dim 1 Hour after Isha & deactivate dim 30 minutes before Fajr.
However, since you had given a shortcode to disable overnight_dim, I have already disabled this feature for the time being.

    jazakallahu khairan.
