Integration of smf and wp has been an ongoing discussion…..any integration. Its a pain and usually fails nowadays.

Generically, you may be able to set something up using the standard WP include…. I have no idea if this will work, but you can play with it.

First off, here’s the standard stuff for integrating WP with anything:

so……maybe if you include WP into the header of your SMF theme using:

define('WP_USE_THEMES', false);
require('./blog/wp-load.php');
?>

that may bring in the whole WP business, then possibly you could php include your header?

I’m really not sure if this is the way to do it? or if it will work? Just something to play with….

I will start tinkering with this. I see it done on many sites, but they seem to have kept to themselves. I am sure its tedious to get them visually integrating.

If anyone has any more info on this or a link they can show me where this has been done already step by step I would really appreciate it.

As long as wordpress and SMF have been out one would think that the solution would come up on a simple google search lol. Still no luck.

This is the only thing from making my site go live. All the integrating, and customizing is done. Just can’t figure out how to get this little piece done.
