[Plugin: BuddyPress Album ] No Image Description

  • dear community,

    we are using wp 2.9.2, bp 1.2.3 and bp album+ 0.1.7!

    everything works fine, except the display of the image description in an user’s album. i’ve set a description during the upload process (which is stored in our database), but it isn’t displayed.

    exploring the parsed html output, i can find <p class="picture-description"></p>, but as you can see – there is nothing in this paragraph.

    if i take at look at the corresponding db-entry (id: 26), it has “asdasdasdasdasd” stored in the description field.

    hope you can help me out, thanks in advance!

    ps: on a sidenote, we are using a customized theme, which relies on the bp standard theme. we also tried to use this standard theme, but this change didn’t have an effect on our problem.

  • Haven’t seen that one before!

    The problem is probably being caused by something in one of your templates.

    I understand that you tested it with the “stock” template, but:

    A) Did you start with a “fresh” copy of BPA+

    B) Did you start with a “fresh” copy of the BP default template, not just switch over in the template selection screen, and,

    C) Did you delete any modified templates that might exist in the BP template directory. Remember, templates in this directory will override the templates in the BPA+ templates directory.

    Also… don’t spend too much time trying to solve this. BP Album+ 0.1.9 due to be released in the next week or so uses a completely different template structure.
