• This plugin is only good if you are happy to pay for its premium versions. The free version looks nice at first glance but it is literally useless as it modifies your URLs and your translated version of your site is not accessible. All translated pages display a 404 page except the home page.

    Hi,

First of all, we are sorry that you had issues with TranslatePress.

We are working with subdirectories, so it’s normal to add the language subdirectory for each additional link, which changes the URL of the same page in an additional language.
The 404 error, by the other hand, simply means the server wasn’t found the file the user requested. It is a general issue, not related for sure exclusively to the free version of our plugin. It could be a conflict with other codes that interact with TranslatePress.

The first thing you should try is to resave your permalink settings (TP Settings –> Permalinks).
Also, please use the tips from this post. It may help you to debug the issue: https://www.fixrunner.com/how-to-fix-wordpress-error-404-page-not-found/

However, I suggest opening a ticket on our website, https://translatepress.com/support/, where to specify the issues and one of my colleagues will try to investigate in detail.
