    Yes, the plugin searches all the configured post types but you can configure it to search specific post types as displayed in the below screenshot.

    I understand that Ivory Search can be configured to search specific post types.

    The question is if Ivory Search is compatible with the standard WordPress, search query strings as given in the above example.

    Yes, If you configure it to search only one post type then the query string is displayed in the URL such as post_type=product
