Export WP 2.03 to WP 2.9.2

Try manually upgrading your 2.03 installation. Follow a path that takes you from 2.0 to 2.1 to 2.3 to 2.5 to 2.7 and then use the automatic update to get you to 2.9.2. Then, export/import.

After looking at this, I may hve problems.

I’ve ready installed 2.9.2 in a different directory and configured it with Frugal (onetime use) template system. All I really need to do is import the old 2.0.3 database posts and users. Is there a way to just update 2.0.3 to 2.1? I have done the manual install, but the “upgrade” script wants to upgrade that 2.0.3 database directly to 2.9.2 not 2.1.

Backup first, then follow through with WordPress’ recommendation. If something goes wrong, you can always restore it.
