    Hi there,

not sure where my issue is coming from so I thought I’d try here.
I have noticed that since yesterday my product images are not shown as I upload them but somehow the colours are changing when being displayed in WordPress/woocommerce.
I have not had any updates or changed any settings and I have no idea how to fix this issue as I don’t know what is causing it (tried editing the pic in media files).

The images appear to be overly saturated and bright and look nothing like the original.
    Does anyone have any idea?

    Thx Tina

Also, to be added, it doesn’t do that with every image which really baffles me.

    Hi @wollyhood

If it is not happening with every image then the problem appears to be about the specific images only and not WooCommerce settings. You may want to inspect those images closely and reload those specific ones if required.

If the image saturation and color are getting distorted then this guide may interest you.

Thanks, I had already seen this guide.
The strange thing is that I edit all of the pics the same.
They are literally taken with the same camera settings, around the same time, uploaded together and edited/saved in the same program and format.
I am creating products within a few min using the same draft file and duplicating it,
yet I can upload one pic and it looks as it is, and with the next product (different colour item) after uploading the image appears heavily saturated/highlighted.
I tried deleting and re-uploading the file, recreating the file from the original image, editing the file within wordpress, etc and it still happens.

    Hello there,

I understand what you are saying. That’s strange, but there is an explanation.

From my understanding, the images could be using non-standard colors.

Kindly note when you save an image into WordPress, it will save your original image as the “full” size, without changes. But the other copies created in different sizes will be re-compressed, this will use the standard RGB color profile (And this is when it could be “changed” or could be a saturation loss).

The recommendation is to convert the images to the format “sRGB” first, before being added to your site, you can use Photoshop or any other image editor for this. Using the standard is a guarantee that the images will be used without this problem.

Be sure to edit the PNG/GIFs images, pay special attention to those using transparencies or alpha channels, be sure to use the full images and not the resized versions.

    Hope this provides clarity.

    Hi Igor,

indeed, the issue seems to be related to that.
It worked for some of the colours and while I have not been able to fix others (yet), I know now what to look for. Thank you for helping.
