[Plugin: MeeNews Newsletter Plugin] MeeNews won’t delete

Tried meeNews, quite good on graphics for emails, but very weak on dealing with the list building and a sloppy bilingual interface. Poor attention to detail throughout and dozens of spelling and typo errors in the code. So, I clicked on the uninstall from the control panel, then deactivated and then, repeatedly tried to delete it from the plugins list. I just puts up a blank screen instead of the confirmation and the darned thing is still there. I suspect that it has left behind some residual nonsense in the database because now I am trying to activate zingiri and it won’t accept admin passwords.

Anyone have any ideas?
