Widgets/Sidebar issues

    The old theme (canvas, see link) used the widgets and allowed for different sidebar uses (none on single products, searchable attributes on product pages, custom page on index, etc.)
    The storefront theme lets me style the index page fine but now I cannot use my old widgets for product attributes. I must be missing something. Do I need to go back to classic widgets and work from there? So far, I’m not finding Storefront very customizable!

    WordPress now comes with Block based Widgets by default, so most themes will now use that widget editor.

    If you would like to regain access to the old widget interface and use widgets that were only available in that area, you can install the Classic Widgets plugin.
