google map coordinates sent to a mysql database file

Hallo,

using code from the Google Maps api documentation I succeeded to get sample code for the identification of coordinates on a map. the Paul Google Maps Coordinate Plugin unfortunately no longer works in my wordpress version. My next question is whether there are solutions to use these coordinates and sent them together with some other fields from a form into a database.

FYI: we are interested in identifying invasive neophytes (plants whose origins are not in central Europe) with the help of volunteers e.g. walkers and bikers which look up the place where they have seen the resp. plant and sent the information using a webformular.
