I read the Wiki about Comment Moderation and putting the list of words under options/discussion, stating to copy and past the list and each item should have its own line and to make sure that you don’t have a blank line otherwise it will make you moderate every comment.

Well I copy the list and even with just one single word everytime i try to comment logged in or off the comments have to be moderated.

    Any ideas?

I read that already but I double check it again.
I made sure “An administrator must approve the comment (regardless of any matches below)” is unchecked

After that I check the spam list and I copy it and paste it into a Text Editor and no comas or blank lines.

    Still doesna€?t work.

I even delete the entire spam list and just added one item
“online” and with that one item added everything get moderated.

Does anything get moderated if the spam words list is completely empty?

    (@jnetty99)

If there is no words listed all comments are posted without moderation.

Ok, now just enter the letter a. Don’t put anything else there, don’t even hit ‘enter’ or ‘return’. Just type a and save the settings. Now, comment with the name “Mr. B”, the email “[email protected]” and enter “B” for your comment. Was it moderated?

I log in, options/discussion and type the letter “a” and then click update below.

logged off, click on comment and typed Mr. B, [email protected] and B and click comment and yes i got “Mr. B Says: Your comment is awaiting moderation”

you want to try it https://www.jnetty.com

By the way thanks for the help.

My Moderation queue works perfectly except I would like them to just be deleted instead of going into Queue

Jnetty, do you have any other active anti-spam plugins?

Dawg, upgrade to WP v1.5 and read: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Combating_Comment_Spam#Comment_Blacklist

    To Macmanx

I had downloaded the Spamwordblock and Kittens Spaminator which are not deactivated, but i notice the problem before i put these plugins.

    Moderator James Huff

    (@macmanx)

Turn off SpamWordBlock. It is obsolete in WordPress v1.5 (IOW, the function has been included with WordPress v1.5). See this for more info: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Combating_Comment_Spam#Comment_Blacklist

    Yes Spamwordblock is turn off.
and i notice the problem before i put the plug in.

    Moderator James Huff

    (@macmanx)

Well, just to humor me, turn off Spaminator too, make sure your spam word list is cleared, and try one more time. If that doesn’t work, we’ll have to hope that someone else stops by this thread.

    (@jnetty99)

I took both Spamwordblock and spaminator out of plug ins and even took them off my server.
I took off spam words and posted and it posted correctly. I then added back a spam word and tried your suggestion of adding only the letter “a” and then tried to post again and still didn’t work.

The Comment needs to be moderated
    I guess i’m S.O.L.
