THOUSANDS OF SPAMS!

  • Since I began my blog, I’ve gotten hundreds & hundreds of spam! When I send them to Spam-Delete, I get more from the same places. It was so time-consuming, it wasn’t worth maintaining my site. Now I have some 1700 spam waiting to approve or delete. Doesn’t WORD PRESS have a way to make all this unnecessary? I can’t imagine EVERYONE going through this process. (Some of the spam are obvious ads. Many others say things like “Great job of writing, I was wondering about this!” and it’s clear they haven’t even read it. WHAT IS THE MOTIVE OF THESE PEOPLE?)

  • The motive google page ranks the solution askmiet (its a built in spam protection plugin)

    Enable the built in spam filter – Askmiet – packaged plug-in with WordPress. Sorts all the spam into a spam folder and you can just delete the whole lot.
