Zenlite doesn’t work, and I cannot access wp any more (?!?)

  • Something very weird just happened here. I tried a lot of themes and then I stumbled upon Zenlite which looks just perfect. As usually I downloaded the zip-file, clicked “add new themes” and installed zenlite.2.6.zip

    In the preview there was a blank white page. Nonetheless i clicked “activate”. My blog site was blank white after that. There was nothing to see on it. But furthermore, my wordpress administration page was blank white as well! I could?nt do anything any more, reloaded 100 times, closed chrome, nothing worked any more. So I uninstalled he theme manually through FTP. I could access my wordpress admin page again, and chose another theme… everything works fine.

    So I thought that maybe the zip file was corrupt, downloaded it again, installed it again… the same weird things happened.

    I am really new to wordpress, so I don?t have a clue what’s going on… am I the only one with this issue?

  • Just downloaded and activated perfectly for me on 2.9.2.

    No issues noted.

    This is just a thought; when you extract the theme, it is two directories deep. zenlite2.6 > zenlite.

    Did you upload the former, or the latter?

    [edit] I just tried that. It worked anyhow. Why? I don’t know. ??

    ok sorry guys, my fault…

    I just realized that I used the pre-installed wordpress version of freehostia.com, which is not 2.9.2 but 2.8.2 … after upgrading to 2.9.2 everything works fine.
