How to put 2 images horizontally and not vertically in between the blog text

Hi, I would like two images to be placed next to each other, and not underneath each other, but when I click on the + sign to add a block, then it that block goes right to the bottom of my blog text. It will not go there where I want the image. Also if I use the other editor to add media, then It lets me put in an image, but then the second image I upload goes underneath that image. Is there any way I can fix this problem, because I do not want to delete nearly all my blog text, just to put the image in, then have to write all the text again below it.
