• Hey Everyone,

I’ve moved to WordPress just over a month ago (https://www.PurpleFoodie.com) and picked the Clean Home Theme. I now realise that it’s becoming restrictive since it only has 2 columns, and I want to move back to 3 columns, with one on the left and one on the right.

Is there anyway that I can make some minor CSS tweaks to create a new column (or is there any plugin or tutorial) instead of having to change my theme? Changing my theme would involve wasting the entire month I spent modifying the style of the blog.

    Thanks for the help.

  • Adding an extra column to most themes usually involves a lot more than a few minor CSS tweaks.

    arjwiz,

I’ve customized the Clean Home theme on a site I have under construction. Here is a compressed folder of my theme files. Note the custom.css file.

I’ve also made a few small changes to the default style sheet: style.css

And then there are a bunch of small changes to some of the other files, index, header, sidebar, footer, etc. I can’t give you a list of every change I’ve made, but if you look through all the files, you’ll be able to figure it out. I also created a div that spans the two sidebar columns, to hold a 300px wide advertisement.

    Here are my files:

    Hope that helps!

    Cheers,
    elmnt
