Check does the product have a parent ?

    Hi,
    How can I check with the Product object that the product is a variant product and has a parent?
    There was a way but I can’t remember. I searched but couldn’t find it.

    $product -> is_type('variation');

    The above doesn’t work for me. The product I checked is variation itself.
    For example, T-shirt in Red color
