• FYI I’ve been using the premium version for about 3 months. We started to get complaints about broken links, but the link report showed none. We got a few examples from users and they were right. Links were broken to between internal posts. So, we ran a scan through sideliner and it revealed 275 broken links. I’ve started checking them and sure enough, they are broke.

When republishing an article I always run redirect and use link whisper URL changer. I’ve noticed a difference in the number of links from the existing post to the republished version. That means link whisper is seeing the link but not testing and updating it correctly. I’ve got a printout of the CSV file showing all of the broken links. Am I doing something wrong?

I ran another report with siteliner and it identified 88 new broken links. But, none of them show up with link whisper. It does not update all incoming links when you republish. I even use the link changer to make sure, but it always misses a few. So, you have a serious bug. I’m still waiting for a reply. I can send you the spreadsheet and you can test the links yourself.
