Plugin conflicts with Plesk

On the front end, everything is fine, but our host encountered a problem when backing up the site. They make a biweekly backup/clone of the site and got an error today. After disabling the MEC plugin, Plesk support was able to perform a test clone without issue.

Has this happened to other users? Will an update be released soon to fix the problem?
