• I switched my hosting provider and transferred my domain. My site is currently down so I can’t login via [ redundant link removed ]
On wordpress my site is not there. I think because it’s externally hosted so it’s a .org site? My hosting provider needs my files and database. How else can I access my site other than wp-admin?

  • Hi, @stephanieraymos:

The wordpress in “On wordpress my site is not there” refers to the wordpress.com, you could just consider it as another hosting provider. Since you’ve already switched your hosting provider, so it makes sense your site is no longer on wordpress.com.

On the other hand, www.ads-software.com is a website builder provider – (the name of the builder is just called WordPress) – that you could download the builder from. So in your case, whether your site is hosted by wordpress.com or your current provider, it’s just the same software (downloaded from www.ads-software.com), the same bunch of files installed on a different host.

Here are a few things you could try to make everything work normally:
    1. Does your new provider meets the WordPress minimum requirements?

    2. You can also access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel

    3. If you were still unable to access the dashboard:
Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

Note: Free hosting providers are typically not recommended around here, as they often don’t support WordPress to function properly.
