I am getting the “Multiple H1 Tags” error, but when I view the code that Google will actually see, there is only one. I am aware that this has been brought up multiple times already on this forum, but you guys keep marking it as “resolved” despite the fact that it is in fact NOT RESOLVED. I also know that it is in your cue to fix it. But that last message regarding this was over a year ago.

I am using Divi, which I believe is a very common theme. Its kind of ridiculous that your plugin doesn’t seem to work with such a popular theme.

If I may give a suggestion: This would not be as much of an issue is there was a way to ignore errors that we as designers are confident don’t really exist. This isn’t the only error in the list that doesn’t make sense and some of them will never be resolved due to the design of the page (like too many/not enough images or word count). I’d like to be able to ignore that particular “problem” and see if other than that it works fine.

    Thanks for reaching out!

Yoast is not compatible with all page builders and we understand you’re using Divi which is a popular pagebuider. Indeed, the Yoast plugin expects the only H1 on the page to be the post title. When you add even a single H1 inside the post content area, the plugin will give you a warning about multiple H1s in the page.

For theme developers, we’ve offered to add the functionality to their code. This help article will help them with the implementation — Can I add data to the page analysis?

We understand that sometimes it’s tempting to attempt to get all green lights on the SEO analysis. However, these are general guidelines, not strict rules that will hurt your ranking. If you feel your page is properly formatted and has a good user experience, then these warnings can be safely ignored and you should not sacrifice user experience to get the green bullet.

You can read more about this on this article on our website:?https://yoast.com/want-green-bullet-wp-seo/
