Add a | between li items

Hi All,

I’ve set my meny to show horizontal rather than vertical. However, I’d like for each page to be seperated by a pip |. How can I do this, so it looks like:
home | about | contact us | etc

I don’t want to go down the image route and using border-right doesn’t look great as the | is way to big.

Any ideas?
