• I Installed google analytics yesterday and activated it and it hasn’t shown up anywhere on my blog. I looked at other threads and I have the proper code in my footer.

I see that others said that it takes 24 hours to start tracking but should there be something (an icon?) showing up in my footer?

  • Analytics won’t display anything in your footer.

Some analytics plugins won’t insert the tracking script if you’re logged on as your WordPress admin user (I don’t know if this particular plugin does that — does it have a Settings Page?).

So try this: Log out of your WordPress site. Visit your main page and use your browser to View Source. Look down at the bottom of the source and see if you can find the analytics JavaScript code. If it is there, things are working properly.

thanks. it seems to be there. so how will i know when it starts tracking? where do i check for that?

You’d log into https://www.google.com/analytics and check your account.

How is this supposed to track adsense clicks ?

The plugin uses the methods described here to track AdSense clicks.
