I’ve received an email from WordPress that says: An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 90 of the file /home2/spartah/public_html/new/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/vendor/jetpack-autoloader/class-php-autoloader.php. Error message: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home2/spartah/public_html/new/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/vendor/automattic/jetpack-roles/src/class-roles.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/cpanel/ea-php74/root/usr/share/pear’)

Also: visit the page where the error was caught (https://spartahouses.com/new/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php) and check for any visible issues. I don’t know enough to see any “visible” issues!

Also on Site Health it says: The folder /home2/spartah/public_html was detected as being under version control (.git).

And on the Updates page: This site appears to be under version control. Automatic updates are disabled.

None of my automatic updates are working for plug ins or WordPress.

I just went through 3 days of not being able to log in to my admin dashboard after trying things to fix this. Jetpack had been working then it started asking me to set it up. When I tried it, it was unable. Can’t remember the message it gave. I tried deleting and installing again but no luck.

The log in issue is now fixed. So today I installed Jetpack again. It installed correctly. I manually went to update other plug-ins then got the message and e-mail of the error above. TI have deleted Jetpack but don’t want to install again at the risk of causing the problems I’ve just gone through.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi!

For the most recent issue with the error message you’ve posted, I’ve seen a couple other reports of an error happening _during_ the upgrade, but once the upgrade completed, everything was working fine.

We’re investigating further at this time to confirm those initial reports. Thank you.

Same error and I received an email from my wordpress instance with a link to recovery mode. I went to it and logged in and things are working just fine.

Same error with a client’s site. Visible issue is a homepage blog preview grid not showing and blogs not loading on blog page. Just showing ‘Loading…’

    Hi @tdfh3, @ocabj and @bucoma,

As Brandon mentioned above, our developers are aware of the problem, and we’ve confirmed this error shouldn’t cause any issues on your site. The error resolves itself during the process of updating the Jetpack plugin, and the error should not occur again now that the plugin update is complete.

    Sorry for the false alarm!

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

But it doesn’t work! Could anybody help with tips, thanks.
