I am trying to style the top-level Item to be Grid Layout.

But the only options showing in the dropdown select box are
    “No Mega Menu”
    and
    “Mega Menu List”

Why am I not seeing a “Grid Layout” selection?
I am using the Extra theme with no customizations.

    Hi jkotuby,

Please can you post a screenshot of what you’re seeing? Those options do not sound like they are coming from Max Mega Menu. To find the grid layout option, you must hover over a menu item and click the blue Mega Menu button.

It turns out I was looking in the basic expanded top menu Item. There the only selection were as I had mentioned.
    “No Mega Menu”
    and
    “Mega Menu List”
I found the setting for Grid and created 3 columns and slid some submenu items in place. Now I’m getting the columns but I see vertical text! Very ugly.

What can be possibly wrong? Is there a document that covers issues like this? Thank you

    Hi jkotuby,

The sub menu will only be as wide as the menu itself by default. Please check this page for options on adjusting the sub menu width:

Thank you. I finally figured that out. Especially why MaxMegaMenu worked out of the box for our production website and not the other. The development site had only 2 top menu items and therefore a narrow profile and an ugly Mega Menu. While the original production site had a wide top menu when I added Mega Menu. In fact it looked good with the “standard layout” which just happened to be a nice Grid.

I finally inspected the home page and saw that it…and the other pages…had a DIV with the ID #content-area that had nice padding. Once I used that as the Outer-Width in settings it worked well.

So it ends up that I didn’t need to specify the Grid layout at all but still ended up with a “grid”. No wonder I was confused. Thanks for the help.
