HELP!! Log-in problems

    Okay, I installed the new 1.5, and now am having the trouble of people being able to click “log-in” and it takes them TO MY CONTROL DECK without them logging in as ME! It automatically has them “logged in” as “ME”!!!

    What can I do about this?

    No, btw, this is NOT on the same computer. In fact, I’m currently in a lab on campus where I went to my blog and wanted to make an entry… and I hit “login” and instead of being asked to do so… IT BROUGHT ME TO MY CONTROL PANEL!!

    ARGHGHGH… ANYONE can mess with my blog if it stays like this. This is enough to make me want to scream and beg if anyone still has 1.2 somewhere I can download it!?

  • I just clicked your login link, and I get asked – correctly – to log in.
    Change your password ? It could be a cookie issue ?

    How would it be a cookie issue? I’m on a totally unique computer on campus, where I’ve never logged in on this blog before. Also, I had my wife on her work computer check, and it let her in too.

    Weird.

    And did she just click, or click and enter information too ?

    Just clicked. She went to comment, actually, and it had her already logged in as me… which is the same thing that another friend of mine did… she commented and it showed up as “michael”… my wife then went and hit the link to log in on the front page of the blog, and it took her to my dashboard.

    “had her already logged in as me.”
    That strongly suggests that a cookie has been read.

    Please, change your password now and then ask someone to get access who had access – such as your wife from the machine – but do NOT tell them your password at all.
    Please post back what occurs.

    Okay, I have changed my password.. and someone else just commented on my site.. as ME.. logged in as ME.. it is the newest comment, i’m sure you’ll see it if you click on my name.

    This is driving me nuts, sigh…

    Nobody has any ideas? I don’t see HOW this can be a cookie issue.. unless it is on WP’s side. The person that just commented as “Michael” on my blog, well… her name is Sonya and she lives in Colorado, and I’d changed my password at the behest of Podz’s last comment.

    Is there anything I can do.. other than ditch WP and try to install MT?
