    Vielen dank

Hello, líder I couldn’t find anything suitable to my question or I didn’t use the right words.

I will edit websites on WP for clients. When I have a client who has an existing site and wants a new design. How can I redesign the page without deactivating the old one? And build the new one on the same domain?
How can I solve this for future customers?

    Many Thanks

  • Simplest way is not to use the same domain.

    A professional approach would be
    – develop on a localhost – if you use a tool like Local by Flywheel (or ngrok ) you can still demo a dev site to your users as required
    – when happy – migrate to a staging site normally staging.customer-domain.com
    – after user acceptance – migrate staging to live

There are plenty of migration tools and many hosts also have one click staging migration.

As WordPress is database driven, it is important to ‘freeze’ live changes between staging pull and staging push

Hi Alan, thanks for your help. That’s exactly how I’ll do it. Many Thanks.

Now I have one more question: I hope you can help me further. When I drag images up to the Mediatek, they are no longer displayed. So only the blue one with the ?! What can it be so suddenly? Permissions are set to 755 and 640. What else could be the problem? Many Thanks

Hi I don’t know that specifically.

But I suggest you star a completely new topic for a new question, that way more people will see it.
