remove blog. from url

  • I’m guessing you need to purchase a domain and have it redirect to your blog.

    Thanks – i appreciate you trying to help especially as looking back at it my question was poorly written with minimal detail

    I have my domain – www. domainname .com, i installed wordpress on dreamhost using the 1 click install.

    I started to edit my site but the url was showing as blog.domain.com my www. page was just some kind of error page – I deleted the whole database and unistalled. Then i reinstalled using the normal (non 1 click) install – it was just as easy but now my www. works fine

    Of course I am a complete noob and have no idea what has taken place here but it has worked out in the end
