How can I get them to use what they are set as when you go to the media gallery.. all individual. Thinking this may effect seo

    Hi @magicadey,
Phoenix Media Rename doesn’t make a backup of the data it changes, so it is impossible to revert the operation.

If you have used the “rename and retitle” command (as it looks from the effect you described), you can change the page title for the page containing the images, then use again the command “rename and retitle”.

Let me know if you need more information.

The images didn’t take the name from the page title?

Can you tell me which title have the page and which name has been generated?

Maybe this is caused by a conflict with a plugin or your theme, can you tell me which active theme and plugins are you using?

    Thank you for reporting

when you hover over the image they are different to what is set as page title on the actual image. They are all named after the page title sequetianlly.

If you use the “rename and retitle from post” command, every image you selected will be renamed and retitle using the page title.
If you want to set image title and filename manually, you have to use the “rename and retitle” command.
You can also manage the titles using WordPress core function and use Phoenix Media Rename to change only the filename.
The information shown in hover (in the frontend) depends on how your theme builds the HTML code for the page, I don’t know if Astra uses title, alternative text or other data (I never used this theme, but I will try it to give you a feedback), in the media library you can see the title and the filename, those data are correct, or are different from page title?

I’ve made a quick test on a development server and I’ve seen that Astra doesn’t generete any hover for the images.

Your site is using many custom blocks for the editor, one of those is building the hover attribute, but I don’t know which image data uses.

    Hope this help.

@crossi72 I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us escalating this to the plugins team.

It’s never necessary to do that. Here’s why.

There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.

    You get the idea.

Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.
