“Continue Reading” button on home page doesn’t create hyperlink

  • I thought it was as I had a custom excerpt but even letting WordPress create the excerpt, the continue reading button doesn’t do anything. Anyone else having this issue?

  • Hi there! In my testing, there is no “Continue Reading” button by default for posts in the main homepage feed. But if use the Site Editor to add custom “Read more” text here, then the link will appear and work as usual:

    Is that what you’re seeing? I believe that’s how the theme and post excerpt block are designed to work.
