    Hoping for some help please!

Trying to hook up my site with Google Site Kit but when I activate the plugin, I get this message:

Site Kit has already been configured by another admin of this site. To use Site Kit as well, sign in with your Google account which has access to Google services for this site (e.g. Google Analytics). Once you complete the 3 setup steps, you’ll see stats from all activated Google products.

There’s a button to sign in with Google, which I click, then I’m taken to a page that throws an error…

    invalid parameter: ‘site_id’

I cannot get around this at all and it’s driving me crazy.

Hopefully someone has run into this before and can please give some advice?

    TIA

    -Paul

Hello @gdl180 thanks for getting in touch.

Site Kit has already been configured by another admin of this site. To use Site Kit as well, sign in with your Google account which has access to Google services for this site (e.g. Google Analytics). Once you complete the 3 setup steps, you’ll see stats from all activated Google products.

This message is displayed when you are trying to connect to Site Kit with a WordPress user account that is using a different email address to the one that Site Kit was set up with on the site. This could have been done by another admin on your site or by yourself using a different user account.

If Site Kit was set up by a different admin of the site then you can contact them and ask if they can add your email to the Google account connected which will then grant you permissions.

Or if there are no other admins on the site I would suggest resetting Site Kit by going to Tools > Available Tools > Reset Site Kit. Please keep in mind though that if someone else has set Site Kit up that doing this will disconnect Site Kit for them and any other users also. Once reset you can start setup again making sure to use your own account.

Let me know if this helps with your issue and if not I can help look into this further for you.

I would suggest resetting Site Kit by going to Tools > Available Tools > Reset Site Kit.

This did the trick, thank you for your help.
