Word Press will not open on local host

  • Hello,
    Yesterday I installed Word Press on my windows 10 PC and had it running vey well.
    I am using xammp which is running other sites correctly.
    Today I cannot get it to run.
    I have all the wp files in htdocs/mywebsite
    If I double click on index.php it opens Dreamweaver and then fails. There are no wp files in Dreamweaver although I did start the build there. Then found a video which helped me to get the wp files working well.

    Can anyone see how I can get WP running again

    I appear to have found an answer to this.
    I noticed in the Testing server drop down all the files appeared.
    I copied those into the local view and the site seems to be working.
    I am not sure what’s going on but at least WP appears to be working OK.

    I am puzzled why the files never showed in Local View in the first place?

    Any ideas are welcome.
