The podcaster releases a new episode every Monday at 9am, and wants the website to update also at that time, or a few minutes after is fine. Is there any harm to have a very short interval to accommodate this request or is that taxing on the site to have it check so frequently?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for using podcast player.

    1. By default, Podcast player update the cache after every 12 hours. Therefore, if the podcaster release new episode at 9am. She can just manually refresh the feed once at 9:10am (some minutes after 9am). Now podcast player will always automatically update every day at 9:10am and 9:10pm (after 12 hours). It should resolve the issue.

    2. After every update interval, podcast player download the fresh RSS feed and process it to check and update latest information. Having very short interval may put some load on the server. However, 1 or 2 hours should be fine. If it causes low website performance, you can increase it a bit.

Inform me for more help on this.

    Thanks,
